Found a new favorite AYCE sushi place in the Roseville area. The place was big and clean and spacious. The sushi selections were massive and the appetizers were aplenty. Ari, our server, was very nice and pleasant. This might be our new go to spot for now.

Akame definitely exceeded my expectations. Tried it for the first time with my girlfriend and we both had a very good time. Ended up opting for the course C option and honestly it was well worth it in my opinion. Sashimi was awesome and was very fresh and my girlfriend definitely enjoyed the salmon avocado tacos that they had to offer as well. The vibes of the place were also well fitting and we enjoyed the environment. Only critique I have was that once we were seated it took about 10-15 minutes before a server came with our plates and started taking our orders, so that's one aspect that I wish can be improved upon. However, our server was really nice and we had a great time overall! Definitely will be coming back in the future!

Three levels of all you can eat menu. They are make-to-order and are very good. Very attentive service. We like to bring friends over for the experience.

Went here for lunch on Monday so it wasn't so busy. First thing I have to say is that the service was superb. They were very friendly and fast to bring out anything that was ordered. Food was on point for an AYCE sushi restaurant. Most of the fish was fresh except the squid and mackerel. I stuck mostly to tuna sashimi and that was just fine. My stepdad loved the grilled oysters and had about a dozen. Another highlight was the steak hibachi only available on the most expensive course. Everyone enjoyed the soft shell crab and all the rolls we ordered were good and devoured. Our server recognized that we were Chinese and he didn't hesitate to speak Chinese to my mom and she appreciated that. He was super nice and for no reason gave us a 10% discount! The place was clean and had tvs everywhere. It felt modern and new which it was. I liked this better than ITS sushi due to them offering more cooked options and the hibachi options. ITS did have fresher fish though but they limited some items like soft shell crab where Akame does not. We got our money's worth though and everyone was happy whether they got sushi or hibachi! Will return when in the area.

Akame Sushi in Roseville is officially my #1 spot for AYCE sushi fresh to order now! When we first enter we were greeted and seated immediately on a Thursday night. The place is big and clean. Ambiance is nice and feels trendy. We opt for the menu C blue for EVERYTHING on both sides of the menu snd I tell you it's worth it! We started with miso soup and onto other dishes. We had 2 good big rounds of delicious foods. Customer service 10/10 our server was spot on and she was very helpful and attentive to us the whole dining time. Foods are 10/10. This is their soft opening so idk but let's pray they keep this up and good! The whole experience was amazing and I will definitely go back again. Also, highly recommended to sushi lovers out there.

The food here is amazing. There was not 1 thing that I tried that was not full of favor and delicious! My favorite roll is the new golden roll! I went on a Friday night and there was no wait for 3 people. My only critique is that the service could be improved. When we were seated, we were given one menu for 3 people and they did not ask if we had been there before and explain the different options for all you can eat. The food came out very fast, and the server was helpful with the ordering but there was just little things that could have been done to elevate the experience. Such as giving an extra bowl to put the Edamame shells in, clearing plates a little faster, and refilling the water/ ginger/ wasabi. Over all I would come back here for the great food!

My girlfriend and I decided to eat at this AYCE sushi restaurant on a Saturday evening around 6pm and it was packed with parties waiting to be seated. Fortunately, for a party of 2, we were able to be seated quickly without having to wait long. Parking wasn't too bad as it's a shared lot with other restaurants in the area. The interior had a sports bar vibe with all the big TVs on the wall and open space. As for the food, I definitely enjoyed most of what Akame had to offer. The dragon roll was a decent size and tasted great with its fresh ingredients and delicious eel. The lemon salmon roll is a great refresher roll after something heavy. It's a good substitute if you don't like using the pickled ginger as your palate cleanser. The appetizers like the miso soup and soft shell crab were delicious as well. The miso soup wasn't too salty and they had it at a temperature where you could drink it right away without burning your mouth. The soft shell crab was definitely meaty but the tempura dipping sauce was lacking in flavor. You could add some soy sauce to give it a bit more umami flavor. The chicken karaage was crispy and had moist dark meat. It tasted even better with the sriracha mayo sauce they provide. Another aspect that made Akame stand out is the rice to fish ratio. More rice than It's Sushi but definitely way less rice than Raku at West Sac. Akame seems to give a bit more attention to the aesthetics of how these nigiris come out which I definitely admire. The unagi nigiri and salmon nigiri were definitely my favorite nigiris as they were fresh and delicious. The habachi shrimp was very good in my opinion. The flavor had me wanting more. The grilled oyster, on the other hand, was a big no no for me. It was a very thin piece and the oil they had in there made me a bit uneasy. The last thing I'd recommend to try out is the unagi taco. They give you a generous portion of unagi but also a huge amount of rice. If they lowered the amount of rice and made the seaweed (taco shell) a bit more salty, then I'd think it would be a hit. One last thing that stood out compared to other AYCE sushi spots is that you can order a single piece of certain items making it much easier to sample. You don't have to worry about ordering too much and possibly not liking it resulting in wasted food.

Good, Fresh and Satisfying AYCE Sushi [Roseville CA] I've dined here twice already and each experience was exceptional with both service and the food. During our first visit here we went with Course B and we were able to order from the White and Pink menu selection. We didn't order any sushi but enjoyed the grilled and hibachi menu items. Everything was delicious. Our server was Alyssa that evening. Very attentive and friendly she always came by to check on us as we needed to order more food. Her service was prompt as she was also mindful in clearing our table of used plates as well as refilling our drinks. We had such a pleasant experience the first time that we came to celebrate a milestone birthday on our second visit, party of 7. It was the first time for 4 of them in my family and they were all sushi fans so they took advantage of all the sushi favorites they could consume from sashimi to nigiri to deep fried rolls and hand rolls... oh yes, even Kalbi and Hibachi steak. Our server was Jason, who also did a favor for us and brought the cake out for our birthday celebrant. We all sang Happy Birthday... and Jason did too! Thank you so much to the staff at Akame Sushi for a memorable evening! Great service and each order of food was served promptly, yummy and fresh. We were all so full we almost had to be rolled out of there. They are still on their soft opening and already have become a local favorite. Located in Roseville on Taylor Road they occupy the former Islands Restaurant / Maneki Sushi. Review #3427

I was originally heading to It's Sushi in Roseville for AYCE when I passed by this place and noticed it was AYCE sushi as well and decided to give it a try because it was only $35 for the option that includes nigiri. I thought it was reasonably priced. I can confidently say this place exceeded my expectations and I'm super glad I chose to give it a try. There were so many different options for nigiri rather than just the basic options other restaurants are limited to. Here are my top 3 items from the menu: 1.Garlic Salmon - Out of everything we ordered, this was by far the best. We had to order tons of it. It looked like they put garlic paste on the salmon and torched it. Personally, when I got to AYCE sushi, I order almost all salmon. 2. Yuzu albacore - This was a unique twist to regular albacore and it definitely took the regular albacore up a level. 3. Salmon lovers taco - I found it very interesting that they offered sushi tacos. This was my first time ever having one and I had to order 4 for myself! It comes with a deep fried nori shell and big slices of avocado on top of the tempura salmon. Wouldn't miss out on this one! Honorable mentions have to include the appetizers such as the soft shellcrab, fried oysters and garlic edamame which all delivered without disappointment. The service was great, the servers were constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything else. The restaurant was decorated with a lot of cool murals. They also offer ice cream as a desert. We decided to mix the ice cream with the fried bananas for dessert and it was amazing. This restaurant is up there and may be the best AYCE sushi spot in the greater Sacramento area.
